  3. All your people criticizing her aren’t getting what she is asking. She means why in the African-American community are successful blacks mocked by other blacks for acting white. It’s a problem, because most blacks strive to be “gangsta”. You have to have street cred to be considered cool. Using proper English is frowned upon, look at Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I know it’s an old show, but it still holds true today.

    To answer your question, the main reason is that the majority of black role models are not what you would call highly intelligent, hard working individuals. Most professors, scientists, doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc…are non-blacks. They aren’t necessarily all white, but not very man of them are black.
